Jamie Foxx spotted for the first time publicly since health emergency, pumping fist in air

COLUMBUS - Jamie Foxx was seen smiling and pumping his fist in the air as he sat on the bow of a big boat in Chicago, recognizing fans for the first time since experiencing a "medical complication" in April.

Foxx can be seen driving down the Chicago River on Sunday with a large group of individuals, according to a TMZ video.

Foxx waved before flashing the peace sign to the crowd while donning a collared shirt and dark sunglasses.

Foxx's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

A Foxx spokesman did publicly denounce a claim that Foxx's "medical complication" was brought on by a COVID vaccine shot last month.

According to his spokesperson, the report was "completely inaccurate."

Ever since his daughter Corrine made the original statement about the actor's condition in April, Foxx and those closest to him have been mostly quiet about it.

Foxx's daughter stated in a since-deleted Instagram post that "he is already on the road to recovery, thanks to quick action and great care."

On May 12, Corrine gave followers another update and refuted the allegations made against her father.

"Family update: It's sad to watch how the media is out of control. Regarding a report that stated her family was preparing for "the worst," Corinne responded via her Instagram story: "My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recovering.
