Doja Cat made fun of her own followers online for using the term "Kittenz."

Doja asked users adopting the unofficial moniker, which is akin to Taylor Swift's "Swifties" and Nicki Minaj's "Barbz," to mature in a post on the Threads app on Sunday. The Threads account for Doja looks to have been deleted since then.

She said, "My fans don't call themselves shit." If you refer to yourself as a "kitten" or "fucking "kittenz," you should put down your phone, find a job, and assist your parents with the house.

A fan account going by the name @thekittenzweb replied to her post by asking: "What should I change my name to since you don't like the term kitten."

Doja answered, "Just delete the entire account and rethink everything; it's never too late."

Doja criticized a fan who used her birth name as their username in addition to criticizing followers who used the moniker "Kittenz" in their comments.

She posted to an account with the handle @amalazandiledlamlni and said, "You making my government name ur sn is creepy as fuck." Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini is the real name of Doja.

The Kittens Room and Doja HQ, two of the 27-year-old's most popular fan pages, suspended their Twitter accounts in protest to Doja.

Some followers of the musician decided to respond to him on Twitter.

One fan quoted Doja's original remark, saying: "This coming from Doja cat??? The same woman that howled at the meet gala, right?

Doja was told by a supporter to "have some respect for us."

They tweeted, "You know the kitties have been the ones who have defended you these past years every time you do stupid crap.
