John Stamos dice que intentó dejar 'Full House' al principio: "Odiaba esa serie"

The comments he made about his time on the successful family comedy "Full House" may have surprised you.

Stamos, who played the uncle Jesse on "Full House" from the end of the 1980s to the middle of the 1990s, admitted that he initially didn't care much for the show and even tried to stop making it in an episode of the interview show "Hot Ones" the previous week.

He said, "Odiaba esa serie," recalling that they had initially suggested it be akin to "Bosom Buddies," the 1980s short comedy starring Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks, but "with a couple of kids in the background."

Stamos added that he felt like "the star" of the show at the time and had a "pez gordo" attitude in the early stages of production, so when his co-star Jodie Sweetin, who was still a young child at the time, overshadowed him at the first reading, his ego slightly reacted.

Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie (Tanner), reads her lines, and everyone start giggling, yelling, said Stamos, adding, "No one could hear my lines because they were being yelled at so loudly, and I was curled up in my chair."

He recalled vividly running to the vestibule to call his agent and tell him, "Scame of this evil program!"

Finally, Stamos explained that he made the decision to do it with the help of his former co-worker on the set, Bob Saget, and a nudge from his agency.

The story of how Bob Saget ended up on "Full House" almost by mistake goes, "Lustrated against him for a long time before finally asking, "What am I doing?" Es una serie preciosa construida with dulzura y amabilidad," he said, adding that he eventually came to the conclusion that "the core character was love" and that "we were the best representation of a loving family—not a typical family—and that this was the new normal."

ABC broadcast "Full House" from 1987 to 1995. The comedy followed Saget's character Danny Tanner, a drunk who abused his three daughters with the help of his "tao Jesse" Katsopolis, played by Stamos, and his friend Joey Gladstone, played by Dave Coulier.

Mary-Kate, Ashley, and Candace Cameron Bure portrayed the three Tanner daughters alongside Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure. Stamos recently admitted that he tried to get the Olsen sisters to leave the series early. Becky, Stamos' wife, was translated by Lori Loughlin.

Stamos also starred in "Fuller House," the Netflix revival of the beloved series that debuted in 2016 and ran for five seasons.
