The trade period for Major League Baseball has begun. The 2023 MLB trade deadline is slated for Tuesday, August 1; during the following week, many players will switch clubs. Shohei Ohtani, a two-way superstar, is currently more likely to stay with the Angels than be traded. Even yet, there will be a lot of fan speculating and curiosity from rival teams regarding Ohtani's availability.
In the coming days, there will be other names mentioned in addition to Ohtani's (see R.J. Anderson's ranking of MLB's top 20 trade candidates). Some All-Star pitchers, such as Marcus Stroman of the Cubs and Lucas Giolito of the White Sox, may be available on the trade market. Cody Bellinger and Jeimer Candelario, two effective hitters, might be moving as well.
