"Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have agreed to loan player Joao Felix to the other club until June 30, 2024. There is no buyout option, the Catalan club declared in a statement, which was followed by the announcement of Cancelo's arrival.
Ansu Fati, a winger, was loaned to Brighton, while Clement Lenglet, a defender, was loaned to Aston Villa earlier on Friday to help make room on the payroll for their new hires and to register the players with La Liga, which has stringent financial fair play regulations.

In addition, the Catalans leased defender Eric Garcia to Girona and transferred winger Ez Abde to Real Betis for 7.5 million euros ($8.1 million), with the option to buy him back.
Felix was acquired by Atletico Madrid from Benfica in 2019 for 126 million euros ($136 million), making him one of the most expensive players in history. He was only 19 years old at the time.
The 23-year-old Portuguese forward struggled last season after Atletico loaned him to Chelsea because he couldn't maintain his form in the Spanish capital. Felix has previously expressed his desire to play for Barcelona.
Barcelona continued, "The club openly expresses its appreciation to the player for the financial effort made (to join) and his willingness to don the Barca shirt.
Felix has extended his contract by two years, till 2029, according to Atletico.
Cancelo's arrival on loan from Manchester City, likewise without a buyout option, was then confirmed by Barcelona.
After using center defender Jules Kounde in that position for the entirety of last season, the team required a specialist right-back.
Cancelo, 29, lost favor with Manchester City during the previous year and joined Bayern Munich on loan in January.
The Portugal international was crucial for City coach Pep Guardiola in prior seasons as he contributed significantly to two Premier League victories. In February 2022, Cancelo agreed to a five-year contract with City, but less than a year later, Guardiola transferred him to Bayern.
Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, and Inigo Martinez were all acquired by Barcelona during the busy transfer window, while Ousmane Dembele, Franck Kessie, and other players left.
