(WSAV) HALL COUNTY, Georgia - After falling into Lake Lanier on Saturday and slipping, a man died.
Georgia game wardens responded to a drowning at Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier shortly after 10 o'clock.
A man in his forties was sprinting down a pier when he slipped, plunged in, and did not come to the surface, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

The deceased victim was found by Hall County Fire Rescue in 17 feet of water.
Gavrie Alexander Whitlock, 23, of Snellville, was named as the man.
This incident took place one month after a 24-year-old man died after jumping off a dock into Lake Lanier on July 30 and getting electrocuted.
