Arizona ran the ball for 181 yards on 29 carries. That they had solely 145 yards passing, with Kyler Murray going 14-for-26, struggling to attach with Marvin Harrison Jr. and different receivers.

The Chargers kicker just hit his fifth field goal of the game, this one from 40 yards, to give Los Angeles a 15-14 lead with 1:54 left in the game.
Los Angeles had a key 2-yard gain on a 4th & 1 run by Hassan Haskins at the Arizona 30 to keep the drive alive. The Chargers clock 8:12 off the clock with the drive. They ran 15 plays.
The Chargers don’t have any touchdowns in this game, but they have what matters most – the lead.

The Chargers got a big chunk of yards on their drive with a 36-yard pass from Justin Herbert to a wide-open Stone Smartt, but Arizona’s defense stepped up to force another field goal.
Los Angeles has basically abandoned the run. It has 16 carries for 50 yards in this game.
Herbert is now 21-for-31 passing for 281 yards.

Cardinals’ Kyler Murray runs for touchdown vs Chargers
The Cardinals’ passing game is struggling, no doubt about it.
But who needs a passing game when you have Kyler Murray’s speed.
The Cardinals quarterback just ran untouched for a 44-yard touchdown to give the Cardinals a 14-9 lead less than a minute into the fourth quarter against the Chargers.
Arizona’s drive? Four plays, 70 yards, 1:26.
Murray has now rushed four times for 67 yards.
It was the longest run the Chargers have allowed this season.

Cameron Dicker has provided all of the Chargers’ points tonight.
He just hit his third field goal of the game, a 28-yarder, to give Los Angeles a 9-7 lead near the end of the third quarter at State Farm Stadium.
The Chargers’ drive went for 45 yards over 10 plays. It took 5:26 off the clock.
The Chargers had a key 25-yard gain on a pass from Justin Herbert to Simi Fehoko on 3rd & 8 at their own 47 to keep the drive alive.
They also picked up a first down on a 3rd & 7 at the Arizona 25 with a 14-yard pass from Herbert to J.K. Dobbins.
Arizona was able to stop their third third-down attempt of the drive, forcing an incomplete pass.

Cardinals come up short on 4th down vs Chargers
The Cardinals brought Clayton Tune in for another short yardage situation for the Cardinals and it did not work.
Tune was stopped for no gain on 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1 at the Chargers 45, giving the Chargers the ball.
Arizona’s drive went eight plays and 48 yards.
You can bet there will be a lot of second-guessing of those play calls.
Another penalty hurt the Chargers on the drive … and helped the Cardinals.
The Chargers were called for pass interference on a throw from Kyler Murray to Michael Wilson which resulted in a 22-yard penalty for Los Angeles and gave new life to Arizona’s drive, but the Cardinals couldn’t take advantage.
There is 6:06 left in the third quarter.
Chargers drive stalls after penalty vs Cardinals
The Chargers had a 1st & 10 at their own 49 on the drive, but a holding call took away all their momentum and Los Angeles had to punt after an incomplete pass from Justin Herbert, a sack, and a 10-yard pass from Herbert to J.K. Dobbins.
Arizona has been getting timely stops in this game.
The team is loading up the box on the Chargers, trying to stop the run and forcing the Chargers to pass.
Los Angeles has 13 carries and 21 pass attempts in the game.

We’ve reached the half of the Cardinals vs Chargers game at State Farm Stadium and the Cardinals hold a 7-6 lead after Cameron Dicker hit a 50-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter.
The Chargers gained 57 yards on nine plays on the drive.
Justin Herbert is now 13-for-18 for 172 yards, but the Cardinals’ defense is stepping up when it needs too.
Los Angeles only has 25 yards rushing on 10 carries.
The Chargers hold a 193-159 advantage in total yards in this game, but Arizona holds the advantage on the scoreboard.

We’ve had another wild play in the Chargers vs Cardinals game.
The Chargers’ Justin Herbert connected on a long pass to a wide-open Jalen Reagor for 42 yards, but as Reagor was reaching for the end zone, Starling Thomas V forced Reagor to fumble the ball, which went right into Jalen Thompson’s hands in the end zone, giving Arizona possession.
There’s 7:27 left in the first quarter and we’ve now had three turnovers. There’s only been 16 plays in the game.
Two turnovers on one play in Cardinals vs Chargers game
Kyler Murray had a pass deflected by Khalil Mark on Arizona’s first drive of the game, which fell into the hands of the Chargers’ Teair Tart.
But, Arizona’s James Conner stripped the ball from Tart and Michael Wilson recovered it for the Cardinals, who ending up going from the Chargers 41 to the Cardinals 28 on the play.
But Arizona retained possession of the ball on the play.
The Cardinals ended up having to punt after the play. Arizona ran nine plays for 35 yards on the two possessions.
