Denver acquired former second-overall decide Zach Wilson and a 2024 seventh-round decide (No. 256) from the Jets in trade for a 2024 sixth-round decide (No. 203), the staff introduced Tuesday.
The Jets’ prime choice within the 2021 draft, Wilson began 33 video games over three seasons for New York. The BYU product has thrown for six,293 yards, 23 touchdowns and 25 interceptions whereas finishing 57 % of his passes in his profession.
After serving because the Jets’ starter in 2021 and a part of 2022, Wilson was thrust again into the beginning lineup in 2023 following a Week 1 damage to Aaron Rodgers. Wilson posted profession bests in completion proportion and passer score in his ultimate season in New York.
