Iowa man plead guilty to armed robbery of Princeton, Mo. bank | Top Stories

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) The USA Division of Justice (DOJ) has an replace from the Might 19, 2023, armed theft of a Princeton, Missouri, financial institution. 

In line with the DOJ, Phillip Michael Blink, 67, of Promise Metropolis, Iowa, pleaded responsible in federal courtroom on Friday, August 30, 2024, to the armed theft from Might 19, 2023. 

Blink admitted that he robbed First Interstate Financial institution in Princeton, Mo. again in Might of 2023, he was sporting a cowboy hat, a purple bandana over his face, gloves, and a trench coat, he walked into the financial institution and approached a teller at roughly 9:25 a.m. 

Blink admitted to saying, “I am sorry, however that is going to be a nasty morning,” he then positioned a blue bag on the counter and mentioned, “I need all the cash.” The teller started inserting payments from her drawer into the bag, Blink then pulled a 9 millimeter semi-automatic handgun out and mentioned, “I informed you it was going to be a nasty morning.” he then positioned the gun on the counter, pointing it on the teller. 

Blink left the financial institution with $4,115, bought right into a Ford F-150 truck, backed out of the parking spot and began driving Northbound on Freeway 65, the financial institution supervisor bought footage of Blink’s car and known as 911. 

Blink was pulled over later that day in Knoxville, Iowa by a police officer, he was arrested and admitted to the financial institution theft, officers searched his car and located the gun, clothes matching the garments within the footage and the stolen cash. 

Blink is dealing with as much as 25 years in federal jail with out parole for the armed financial institution theft, and a minimal further 5 years in federal jail with out parole for utilizing a firearm in a financial institution theft. 

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Legal professional Trey Alford and was investigated by the FBI.
