TCU Hosts Home Fall Challenge

FORT WORTH – TCU seaside volleyball hosted the annual TCU Fall Problem on Thursday and Friday.  The Horned Frogs met acquainted foes from the Lone Star State, HCU, TAMU-CC and Texas on the sand courts in a modified pool play format. Every day consisted of eight swimming pools with 4 totally different pairings. Each pair from the Horned Frogs and three visiting groups performed two matches per day.  

Three TCU pairings went 4-0 within the problem: Deniela Konstantinova/Anete Namike, Hallie Corrine Frist/Jordyn MacTavish and Anhelina Khmil/Kaitlyn Bradley.   

DAY ONE   
5 Frog pairings positioned first in every of their swimming pools on Thursday.   

Tania Moreno and Sofia Izuzquiza – Pool A (2-0)  

Kaitlyn Bradley and Anhelina Khmil – Pool D (4-0)  

Deniela Konstantinova and Anete Namike – Pool E (4-0)  

Maria Gonzalez and Stacy Reeves – Pool G (3-1)  

Hallie Corinne Frist and Jordyn MacTavish – Pool H (4-0)  

  • Vs. Texas’ Johnson/A. Patton: 21-8, 15-21, 15-10  
  • Vs. TAMU-CC’s Cortez/Ranney: 21-9, 21-13  

DAY TWO   
Primarily based on the outcomes of Thursday, Friday’s swimming pools had been made. Seven Frogs positioned first of their pool, highlighted by Khmil/Bradley, Konstantinova/Namike and Corinne Frist/MacTavish’s undefeated report.

Hailey Hamlett and Emma Glagau – 2nd/third Place A-D (3-1)   

Corinne Frist/MacTavish – 4th Place A-D vs. 1st Place E-H, Pool 1 (4-0)   

Konstantinova/Namike – 4th Place A-D vs. 1st Place E-H, Pool 2 (4-0)   

Olivia Clines and Allanis Navas – 2nd Place E-H (3-1)  

Morgan Williams and Alex Kurz – 4th Place E-H

UP NEXT   
TCU will ship two pairings to compete on the West Coast Problem in Manhattan Seaside, Calif. on Oct. 18-20.
