CDC says it will test travelers from Rwanda

The Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention has issued a Stage 3 journey advisory for Rwanda attributable to an outbreak of the Marburg virus.

Marburg virus illness, or MVD, is a critical, usually deadly illness. The virus causes a extreme viral hemorrhagic fever, based on the World Well being Group.

It was first detected in 1967 throughout twin outbreaks in Marburg and Frankfurt, Germany, and Belgrade, Serbia.

The Republic of Rwanda’s Ministry of Well being reported circumstances of the virus in seven districts across the nation on Sept. 27, the U.S. Division of Well being and Human Companies mentioned in its press launch.
