Dallas police shooting: City, Texas leaders react

Metropolis and state leaders confirmed their assist for the officers’ households and the Dallas Police Division.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott posted that the state is grieving for the household and family members of the officer that was killed and is praying for the restoration of the officers that had been injured.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson

“Dallas has misplaced a hero. All of us grieve with the officer’s household right this moment, and we pray for a full and swift restoration for the 2 officers who had been wounded. That is devastating. In Dallas, we put public security first. We stand as much as violent criminals. We ask our cops to do harmful work so the remainder of us can sleep peacefully. These devoted public servants achieve this with grace, honor, respect, humility and extraordinary braveness. And this assault on three of our protectors is nothing wanting an assault on our metropolis, our households, and our lifestyle. We should proceed their work to cease violence in our communities. We should always remember their sacrifice. And we should take the time to come back collectively and raise one another up as we mourn our fallen.”
