HANOVERTON — Wellsville’s volleyball staff held off a troublesome United squad in a 25-23, 30-28, 25-20 on Tuesday in Japanese Ohio Athletic Convention motion.

For the Tigers (10-3, 5-2 within the EOAC), Presley Stokes had 19 kills, three aces, 10 assists and 9 digs. Myleigh Jackson had 12 digs and two assists. Aleena Owens had two aces and 6 digs. Maddie Drysdale had two blocks. Olivia Edison had two aces.

The Tigers path Columbiana by two matches within the EOAC standings. The Clippers and Tigers have already performed twice.

United fell to 7-9 and 6-3 within the EOAC. The Golden Eagles are at Columbiana on Thursday.

For the Eagles, Marin Stryffeler had eight digs and 6 factors. Maelee Smith had 9 kills and Aurianna Cusick had 5 aces.

Wellsville is at Union Native right now. The Jets are ranked sixth within the Div. V state volleyball coaches ballot.

Crestview 3, Brookfield 0

COLUMBIANA — Crestview, ranked second in Div. V within the newest state coaches ballot, made fast work of Brookfield in a 25-4, 25-11, 25-7 win on Tuesday.

The Rebels are 14-0 and 10-0 within the Mahoning Valley Athletic Convention Grey Division. The Rebels lead the convention by one match over Garfield. The Rebels have received 38 straight common season matches.

Lainy Auer led the Rebels with 14 kills and 10 assists. College of Pittsburgh recruit Abbey Emch added 13 kills, 11 aces and 7 digs. Sophia Stewart had 17 assists and eight digs, whereas Natalie Blakeman had two aces and 7 digs. Lydia Campbell had two kills.

The Rebels received the jayvee portion, 25-7, 25-2 to maneuver to 14-0. Cambriauna Davidson had seven aces and 7 assists for the winners. Addison Wendall had two aces, 12 factors and 5 assists.

The Rebels can be again in motion right now at Austintown Fitch. That match can be broadcast reside on MyYTV at 7 p.m.

Columbiana 3, Valley 0

COLUMBIANA –Columbiana stored its unbeaten mark within the EOAC alive with a 25-12, 25-9, 25-11 win over Valley Christian on Tuesday.

Columbiana is 14-1 and 8-0 within the league. The Clippers host United Thursday.

Ellie Jackson had 4 kills, six aces, 15 assists, 11 factors and two digs for the Clippers. Ava Heinrich had two kills, 10 aces, 15 factors and three digs. Kelsey Cameron had 11 kills, two aces, 4 factors and three digs. Cameron Perkins had two kills, 4 aces, eight assists and 10 factors. Danica Halas had two kills, 4 factors and three digs. Landry Smith had 5 kills, whereas Hannah Hitchcock had six factors and two aces.

Columbiana received the jayvee portion, 25-5, 25-1. Eva Waller had 22 aces and 37 factors for the winners. Evy Rapp added six kills.

Columbiana’s freshman beat Youngstown East 25-14, 25-9. Rebecca Kloske had three kills, eight aces and 12 factors for Columbiana.

Southern 3, East Palestine 0

SALINEVILLE — Southern Native rolled over East Palestine, 25-16, 25-17, 25-23, in Japanese Ohio Athletic Convention play Tuesday.

The Indians enhance to 6-8 and can play at Lisbon on Thursday.

Gianna Pecorelli had 9 factors and two kills and Kennedy Lewis 9 factors and 5 digs for the Indians. Cheyenne Bennett had 5 factors and 14 assists, Allyssa Shroads 10 kills and 14 kills, Cheyenne Buzzard seven kills, Kiah Sloan six kills and two solo blocks and Gigi Rodgers 5 kills and 6 blocks.

Elle Berger led the Bulldogs with seven kills and 17 digs, whereas Amara Wilson added 10 kills, 14 digs and two blocks. Alyssa Dilling contributed six kills, six digs and 4 factors. Cami Kridler recorded six assists and 6 digs, and Kennedy Andre completed with 13 assists, 4 digs and 5 factors.

Haylee Kellogg served 11 factors in Southern’s 25-16, 25-21 junior varsity win. Randi Murphy had 9 factors and three aces for East Palestine, whereas Cadence Vargo added seven factors and three aces.

East Palestine (6-7, 4-4 within the EOAC) will host Lisbon right now.

Lisbon 3, Leetonia 0

LEETONIA — Leetonia scored the primary two factors, nevertheless it was all Lisbon after that because the Blue Devils posted a 25-9, 25-11, 25-21 win in Japanese Ohio Athletic Convention play Tuesday.

Lisbon improves to 9-4 general and 5-3 within the EOAC.

NEWTON FALLS — Salem outlasted Newton Falls, 25-23, 35-33, 25-22, in varsity volleyball motion Monday.

Crestview frosh

COLUMBIANA — The Crestview freshman volleyball staff topped Howland, 25-12, 25-12, Monday.

The Rebels have been led by Makayla McKee with 10 factors, three aces and two kills and Lainey Milhoan two aces and three kills.

Crestview will play at Mineral Ridge on Thursday.

Salem JVs

ALLIANCE — The Salem junior varsity volleyball staff beat Marlington, 25-8, 25-13 , Tuesday.

The Quakers have been led by Kenna Mayhew with eight kills, Ryann Cross six aces and three kills and Macey Troy 16 assists.

Salem will host West Department on Thursday.
