Men's Golf Ties for 6th Place at the NCAA DIII Championships

BOULDER CITY, Nevada – The eighth-ranked Generals completed tied for sixth place on the conclusion of the 2024 NCAA DIII Championships on Friday on the Boulder Creek Golf Membership. 

The Blue and White wrapped up the event with a 289-290-285-287–1151 scorecard, one stroke beneath par, and rose up two spots from the eighth place W&L held the final two days of competitors. 

The sixth-place exhibiting is the perfect workforce end for the Generals since taking second in 2018. 

High-ranked Methodist College overtook the workforce title with a complete rating of 1131 (-21), the reigning champions, No. 3 Carnegie Mellon College (1132, -22) dropped to second place and tied for third was No. 4 Oglethorpe and No. 2 Emory, three strokes beneath par.

On Friday, Elias Malakoff and Will Braxton completed one stroke beneath par and jumped 15 positions on the leaderboard to complete tied for 54th. Jonathan McEwen completed even on the fourth spherical and tied for eleventh total. 

Seniors Walker McPhail tied for twenty fourth and Cannon Crane tied for sixtieth place.

Oglethorpe’s Michael O’Sullivan remained on prime of the person leaderboard and completed 12 strokes beneath par with a scorecard of 66-70-71-69–276 (-12).

Jonathan McEwen (65-77-70-72–284, -4)
