‘Nip/Tuck,’ ‘Fantastic Four’ Actor Was 56

Julian McMahon, the Australian actor recognized for his roles in Nip/Tuck and two Incredible 4 films from 2005 and 2007, has died after a battle with most cancers. He was 56.

McMahon died Wednesday in Clearwater, Florida, his rep David Schiff, founding father of MGMT Leisure, instructed The Hollywood Reporter.

McMahon, born in Sydney on July 27, 1968, was the son of former Australian prime minister William McMahon and Girl Sonia McMahon.

He started appearing on Australian soaps The Energy, the Ardour in addition to House and Away and appeared on the U.S. cleaning soap One other World in 1993. He transitioned to primetime TV with a job on NBC’s Profiler and spent three seasons on the WB’s Charmed.

He memorably starred alongside Dylan Walsh in Ryan Murphy’s FX cosmetic surgery drama, Nip/Tuck, which ran for six seasons and earned him a Golden Globe nomination for his function as Dr. Christian Troy.

It was very humorous.”
