Regina Hall, Ice Spice Join New ‘SpongeBob’ Movie

That pineapple beneath the ocean is getting fairly crowded.

Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation on Tuesday unveiled new solid additions for his or her upcoming The SpongeBob Film: Seek for SquarePants film, with Regina Corridor, Sherry Cola, Arturo Castro, George Lopez and Ice Spice becoming a member of the ensemble. The four-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum-selling rapper may also contribute an unique track to the movie.

They be a part of returning solid members Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Invoice Fagerbakke (Patrick), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) and Mark Hamill (Flying Dutchman) within the function directed Derek Drymon and written by Pam Brady and Matt Lieberman.

The log line for the movie has SpongeBob and buddies journeying to the depths of the ocean to face the ghost of the Flying Dutchman. The movie is ready for a December launch.

Ramsey Naito, president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, made the solid reveal at a studio showcase on the Annecy worldwide animation pageant in France on Tuesday. The occasion included sneak peeks at upcoming Paramount and Nickelodeon options and sequence, together with Chris Miller’s Smurfs film, PAW Patrol: The Dino Film, The Legend of Aang: The Final Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2. 

Drymon offered the entire first act of The SpongeBob Film: Seek for SquarePants, and Miller confirmed the opening 20 minutes of Smurfs, which is able to bow theatrically on July 18. Smurfs stars Rihanna  as Smurfette — who Miller stated exhibited “a deep data of Smurf lore, she knew far more than I did.” The movie’s voice solid consists of John Goodman, James Corden, Nick Offerman, Sandra Oh, Natasha Lyonne, Amy Sedaris, Daniel Levy, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, Marshmello, Jimmy Kimmel and Kurt Russell.
