Tito Jackson, an authentic member of the hit-making pop group the Jackson 5, has died, his household confirmed Monday. He was 70.

NBC Los Angeles spoke to a member of the family who confirmed the dying. His sons additionally posted the information to Instagram.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Corridor of Famer Tito Jackson is not with us. We’re shocked, saddened and heartbroken,” his sons TJ, Taj and Taryll stated within the publish. They added that “he will probably be missed tremendously. It’ll perpetually be “Tito Time” for us.”

Jackson was a founding member of the group of 5 brothers, together with Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, who shot to fame within the late Nineteen Sixties and Seventies with a string of hits.

The Jackson 5 are recognized for hits together with “ABC” and “I Need You Again,” sung by a younger Michael Jackson, that had been launched after they signed with the Motown label in 1969.
