WATCH: Poet Amanda Gorman recites ‘This Sacred Scene’ at 2024 Democratic National Convention
Poet and activist Amanda Gorman spoke on the Democratic Nationwide Conference in Chicago on Wednesday, an evening targeted on preventing “for our freedoms,” from democracy to reproductive rights and extra.

The previous Nationwide Youth Poet Laureate recited her poem “This Sacred Scene” in entrance of the conference crowd. The piece celebrated the prospect of Vice President Kamala Harris as the primary lady of coloration to grow to be U.S. president.
