WSSU Football Renews Rivalry Against NC A&T State University Saturday Night

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State College soccer staff renews an old-school rivalry because the Battle of I-40 returns.

The Rams will journey to Greensboro, North Carolina, on September seventh, to tackle North Carolina A&T State College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside Truist Stadium.

Final Time vs. Bluefield State 
The Rams cruised to a 34-3 victory final Saturday, August thirty first. Daylin Lee went 12-for-22 with two passing touchdowns. Justin Fleming recorded his sixth profession interception as he returned a pick-six for a 53-yard landing. Terrell Probability led the best way with seven tackles. 

Final Time NC A&T vs Wake Forest 
The Aggies fell to Wake Forest College 45-13, on Thursday, August twenty ninth. Kenji Christian rushed for 121 dashing yards with a dashing landing.

Final Time vs. NC A&T 
14 years in the past, the Rams defeated the Aggies 21-14 on September 4th, 2010. Now, Corridor of Famer, Kameron Smith led the Rams to victory on a 65-yard and game-winning landing on the ultimate drive en path to propelling the victory.

WSSU/NCAT Connections

• The Rams’ new Offensive Coordinator, Glenn Reese used to educate for the Aggies two seasons in the past, and assistant vast receivers coach, Zach Leslie performed and graduated from North Carolina A&T. His remaining season with the Aggies was throughout 2022.
• The legendary Coach Invoice Hayes coached the Rams from 1976-87 and in addition coached at North Carolina A&T from 1988-2002. With the Rams, he had NCAA Division II playoff appearances and at NCAT he had NCAA Division I-AA appearances.
• 11 WSSU gamers are from the Greensboro space.
