YouTube Leads TV Distributor Rankings for April 2025

For the third straight month, YouTube led all media corporations in the US in TV viewing time.

Nielsen’s Media Distributor Gauge for April reveals YouTube capturing 12.4 % of all TV use — almost certainly one of each eight minutes viewers spent on their televisions. That’s up from 12 % in March and marks YouTube’s third straight month main all distributors in share of TV utilization.

Disney completed second for the April reporting interval (which ran from March 31-April 27) with 10.7 % of TV viewing, adopted by Paramount at 8.9 %. Each noticed their shares enhance somewhat vs. March, with sports activities a driving issue for Disney — which had the NFL Draft, NBA playoffs and NCAA ladies’s basketball remaining — and Paramount, which had the most important single telecast of the month (18.3 million viewers) with the NCAA males’s basketball championship.

NBCUniversal (8.2 % of TV use) and Netflix (7.5 %) accomplished the highest 5. For the primary time since Nielsen started monitoring media distributors’ share of TV viewing in late 2023, the order of the rankings didn’t change month to month.
