5 firefighter dogs who rescued people from natural disasters are honored in Ecuador as they retire

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — 5 rescue canine have been honored by Ecuador’s Hearth Division on Monday at a ceremony formally retiring them after seven years of service and turning them over to new adoptive homeowners.

Lt. Col. Esteban Cardenas stated the canine — Ares, Kratos, Zeus, Titan and Gaia — have been a part of the primary class of canines utilized by the division’s rescue unit, which works with German shepherds and golden retrievers.
