Details of His 15th Victory and Final Jeopardy Answer

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people’s trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

Who won Jeopardy today?

Jamie Ding

Jamie Ding claimed his 15th consecutive Jeopardy! victory with a dominant $56,400 performance, bringing his total winnings to $428,000.

Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?

Brian Chu

Brian Chu is a professor from Cary, North Carolina.

Nikki Svetov

Nikki Svetov is an entertainment strategist originally from Long Island, New York.

Jamie Ding

Jamie Ding is a bureaucrat and law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey, who continued to cement his place among the show’s all-time greats with yet another commanding performance and his 15th consecutive win.

Ding ended Thursday’s game with a final score of $56,400, his highest single-day total yet, with 15-day cumulative winnings of $428,000, drawing comparisons to legends like Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, James Holzhauer, and  Jennings himself. Thursday’s start was slow, but he found his rhythm quickly. His buzzer timing remains his superpower, as he got in first on a staggering 70.18% of attempts (40 out of 57 clues).

Ding lost $21,200 on the game’s final Daily Double—reportedly the largest incorrect Daily Double wager in regular-season Jeopardy! history—but he had built such a commanding lead that it barely mattered.

Ding has now passed Harrison Whitaker in the Tournament of Champions tracker, all but guaranteeing himself a bye to the ToC semifinals.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category “Historic Names.”

The clue: “In 2025 France posthumously made this man who was “accused, humiliated & condemned” a brigadier general.”

The answer: Who is Alfred Dreyfus?

A classic Jeopardy! topic, as the Dreyfus Affair is one of the most frequently referenced historical events in Final Jeopardy, though it didn’t make it easier for the contestants.

Ding wagered $25,200 and responded correctly (“Who was Dreyfus?”), going from $31,200 to $56,400. Chu and Svetov weren’t as lucky, with the former wagering $267 and responding incorrectly for a total of $2,533, while the latter wagered $0, did not respond and stayed at $400.

Had Ding gotten the last Daily Double correct on top of his Final Jeopardy success, we might have been looking at a new single-day record.

Ding will be back tomorrow for a chance at his 16th consecutive victory.
