Something Harry Kane is proud of but never gets to talk about?
“Maybe just being the father to my kids and the husband to my wife,” the English soccer star—who shares daughters Ivy, 9, and Vivienne, 8, and sons Louis, 5, and Henry, 3, with Katie Goodland Kane—said in a recent video shared by the Bundesliga.
The low-key family of six, plus labradors Brady and Wilson, have been based in Germany since 2023, when Kane signed with Bayern Munich. (Catch the team’s season opener vs. VfB Stuttgart Aug. 28 at 2:30 p.m. ET on USA.)
“It’s different from living in London,” Kane told Soccer Bible in 2025, “but the people here have been so welcoming. There’s a lot of outdoor living, which has been amazing for my family.”
So, it’s not as if the 33-year-old never gets to talk about them. But maybe the Leytonstone native meant that, if he really started going on about his family, we’d be headed for extra time.

“Being a dad and a husband is the most important part of my life,” Kane continued. “Watching my kids grow up and start to understand football—and realizing I’m not bad at scoring a few goals—is an incredible feeling.”
By “not bad,” England’s national team captain means he has scored a record 85 goals for his country, while collecting three Premiere League Golden Boots and winning the Bundesliga’s Torjägerkanone three times (both annual honors recognizing the league’s top scorer) in club play.
And while packed stadiums serenading Kane and his teammates with Oasis‘ “Wonderwall” became one of the most enduring images from the 2026 World Cup, a photo of Kane and Katie with David Beckham also went viral—because it was taken in 2005, when they were 12.
In fact, by 2005 they had already known each other for years as classmates at Larkswood Primary School, after which they attended Beckham’s alma mater, Chingford Foundation School.
Katie “was my first kiss when I was about 14,” Kane shared with Life Beyond Sport in 2018. “That was a one-off at a party and, although we were always good mates, it wasn’t until after we had left school that we got together properly.”
Suffice it to say, “she’s seen my whole career,” as he told Esquire UK in 2015. “Of course, she’s finding it a little crazy. I think she’s even been in the papers a couple of times taking the dogs out.”
And it only got crazier as he went on to become Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with 280 goals before departing for Bayern Munich.
But Katie has helped the star striker keep his head firmly on his shoulders.
“If I was single now and meeting people, you’d never know if they were with you for the right reasons,” Kane told the Evening Standard in 2017, per Hello. “Is it the money? You’d never really know. So, I’m lucky that I’ve got a childhood sweetheart.”

While Tottenham signed him at 17 right out of Chingford, Katie went on to study sports science and became a fitness trainer.
“She always wanted to do her own thing,” Kane explained. “She went to university and worked hard. I have a great family, they keep me grounded and they’ve worked just as hard as me to get me where I am.”
Daughter Ivy was born in January 2017, and Kane proposed later that year during a trip to the Bahamas.
Calling Katie his “best friend,” Kane told Life Beyond Sport that becoming “a dad at a young age” was the bravest thing he’d ever done. But, he added, “We always wanted to be young parents and you learn a bit about yourself in doing so.” (At the time, they were expecting baby No. 2 and Vivienne was born in August 2018.)
The couple have never disclosed where, exactly, they tied the knot on June 19, 2019, though the wedding pics they shared showed it was a seaside affair.
Meanwhile, Kane has given the occasional glimpse into his private world: playing golf, walking his dogs, barbecuing at home and watching American football.
The country music-loving New England Patriots fan—yes, that is why he has a pup named Brady—has even talked about trying his hand at playing for the NFL one day.
“I’m not expecting to just walk up and start kicking field goals,” Kane said on Good Morning America in 2023. “But yeah, it’s something I’d love to do.”
No doubt Katie would navigate a relocation to the U.S. as deftly as she managed the family’s move to Munich, where they eventually settled in the high-end enclave of Grünwald, near the Isar River. But for now they’re busy making memories in this new home.
“It was my first move in my career so I probably didn’t realize what went into it,” Kane admitted to TNT Sports in 2023. “All the stuff outside you have to sort out. From work permit, to finding houses and school. I try to do as much as I can but I’ve got good people and family around me.”
Soon enough, the kids were in school, skiing on weekends and practicing their German.

“Slowly but surely it starts to feel like home,” Kane told The Guardian in 2024. “People ask what are the big differences, but a lot of the routine is pretty much the same.”
That included scoring more goals than anybody else, and Kane has since become the first player to win the Bundesliga’s top scorer’s trophy in his first three seasons with Bayern Munich.
And his family was there to celebrate the threepeat—and the club’s second straight league title—in May.
“What a weekend. No better feeling than lifting the trophy and celebrating another title win at the Allianz,” the athlete captioned his pics with Katie and the kids. “So special to be able to share these moments with my family.”
