How does Rams’ depth chart look post-injuries?

Just when fans were getting hopes up for a return of Myles Garrett, the Los Angeles Rams were hit with a wave of injuries unlike anything they’ve seen in a single week since 2022. Garrett is not going to return this week and Sean McVay can’t give any updates on when he might return, while Terrance Ferguson isn’t going to come back to practice yet either. Trent McDuffie’s status is unclear.

How else will the Rams look different when they face the Las Vegas Raiders?

Nobody is saying that Mumpfield will “replace” Adams in a production or value sense, and nobody’s saying that McVay should not increase snaps or reps for Tutu Atwell and other options, including C.J. Daniels. But merely on the depth chart, player to player, Mumpfield is the next man up to start in place of Adams moving forward.

Adams gave Mumpfield a shoutout in the offseason as a receiver to watch out for, and now the second-year wideout gets to prove himself in that exact role.

A seventh-round pick in 2025, Mumpfield has 127 yards on eight catches. 48 of those yards came on a play where it didn’t even feel like he was covered, he just juked someone out of position a little bit and the wheel route was on. Mumpfield has 178 snaps compared to 107 for Jordan Whittington.

Expect Atwell to be active, but what about Daniels? Or is Daniels active but not Atwell? Don’t put any decision past McVay.

Davis should be stout against the run, but won’t provide the same pass rushing presence as Turner. He has limited moves in his arsenal and below-average length.

The Rams went into the season as a “super group” on the defensive line. Now they’re down to Byron Young as perhaps the only healthy player with a good track record who is having a good season.

Davis has played 146 snaps this season and he has 15 tackles. He had 43 tackles last season and he has 1.5 sacks in 2.5 years. The Rams must continue to seek other options on the defensive line.

Hamilton is another defensive lineman with a reputation for run defense, but not pass rushing ability. At least in this case, he’s replacing another player who can’t rush the passer. In fact, Ford might be the worst pass rusher at the nose tackle position in the entire league.

Hamilton has great power and leverage but he has limited pass rushing moves and is known to over-pursue when he gets the chance to play, which is rarely.

The Rams also have Larrell Murchison but he’s only appeared in one game. That’s sure to change.

On the practice squad, the Rams have Bill Norton and Jaxson Moi.
