Hyrox has officially evolved from a niche athletic pursuit into a full-fledged global racing phenomenon, and the major players in athletic footwear are responding accordingly.

Puma already established itself as a frontrunner in the hybrid-racing space with the February 2026 release of the Deviate Nitro Elite 4 Hyrox, its lightweight, race-day shoe built specifically for the competition.

Now, the German brand is taking things a step further with its upcoming Hyrox-specific racer, the Hybrid RCN Hyrox Nitro Elite Camo, introducing a new combination of performance-driven materials and construction designed to meet the demands of hybrid racing.

Puma’s Hybrid RCN Hyrox Nitro Elite Camo is set to release in mid-November, and when it does, the shoe promises to bring even better performance to Hyrox race efforts.

That’s thanks to a compelling mix of existing innovations and brand-new tech, which evolve the shoe beyond “race-day runner with stability thrown in”.

The entirely new silhouette includes a full-length NitroFoam Elite midsole, which delivers ultra-lightweight responsiveness. Puma paired its midsole tech with its carbon fiber Pwrplate, engineered to offer stability to the midsole while supporting energy transfer.

That dynamic combination is critical to the shifting tasks that define Hyrox.

Alongside its foam and carbon plate, Puma added brand-new PumaGrip HBRD to the Hybrid RCN Hyrox Nitro Elite Camo, a durable performance rubber outsole formulated to offer traction across changing surfaces. The LockFit lacing is engineered for a locked-down, stable fit.

Finally, the breathable engineered mesh upper is outfitted in eye-catching, camo-adjacent HYROX-inspired graphics, with a custom collaboration logo added to the back heel and a matching gold puma on the forefoot.
