(WJAR) — You may have seen him on social media.
A man known as Court Dawg Daniel drove his RV to Plymouth to cover the trial, originally coming to town simply to report on the proceedings.
But with a makeshift studio inside his RV, and some unexpected interactions with defense attorney Kevin Reddington, Daniel Busch has gotten more attention than he originally expected.
Busch, who goes by Court Dawg Daniel on social media, says his trip to Plymouth started with a request from a members-only show on Courtroom Confidential, a legal analysis podcast and digital media show.
From there, things grew.

“It just grew into this, I guess I’ll go out there with a phone and ask people questions and that’s how this whole thing happened. So, you know, it just kind of happened,” Busch said.
Busch says he has always had an interest in watching criminal trials. While covering a case is nothing new for him, he says this trial has been different because of how closely he has followed it — and because of his new mobile setup.
“This is the first trial I’ve kind of covered gavel to gavel, out of this RV. It’s kind of a new RV for me,” Busch said.
This is currently Busch’s third RV. While it serves as his home during his time in Plymouth, it also doubles as a production studio where he creates and publishes videos for social media.
“I have everything I need to basically produce videos and film. I have a green screen, so I can put that behind me and do green screen stuff,” he said.
During his time in Plymouth, Busch has also developed a relationship with defense attorney Kevin Reddington. Amid the activity outside the courthouse, Reddington has even stopped by Busch’s RV from time to time.

“It depends, but yeah, lately it’s been like every day,” Busch said.
He recalled one recent visit when Reddington pulled up with his son and surprised him while Busch was working on videos.
“There’s a video that I posted where he pulled in with his son and surprised me while I was working on videos,” Busch said.
But Reddington isn’t the only person Busch hopes to get to know.
He says he also wants to develop a relationship with assistant district attorney and prosecutor Jennifer Sprague, even if his first attempt at getting her attention almost ended with him driving into her.
“Yesterday I almost ran Jen Sprague over. You know what I mean? Just driving around showing people the media and the media area over there. She walked right by me and I’m like, ‘Jen!’ Because I really want to meet her and interview her,” Busch said.

Busch continues to post videos from Plymouth on his Instagram page, giving followers a look at the trial, the people surrounding it and his experience covering the proceedings from his RV.
