NEW YORK (AP) — David Sanborn, the Grammy-winning saxophonist who performed energetic solos on such hits as David Bowie’s “Younger Individuals” and James Taylor’s “How Candy It Is (To Be Cherished By You)” and loved his personal extremely profitable recording profession as a performer of melodic, modern jazz, has died at age 78.
