NC State football vs Western Carolina: Final score, highlights

Behind three touchdowns from KC Concepcion and two TDs by Jordan Waters, N.C. State soccer prevailed in opposition to feisty FCS opponent Western Carolina with a 38-21 win at Carter-Finley Stadium within the season opener.

Trailing 21-17 coming into the fourth quarter, the Wolfpack (1-0) took the lead for good on Concepcion’s third TD of the night. N.C. State added to its lead on working again Jordan Waters’ two TDs within the remaining seven minutes.

The comeback got here after an uninspiring first half for the Wolfpack, which was tied with the Catamounts at 14 coming into the third quarter.

N.C. State had an interception, ejection, two fumbles — each recovered by the Wolfpack — and dropped two interceptions within the first quarter. Within the second quarter, State had a turnover on downs on consecutive possessions, together with their remaining drive of the second quarter.
