The Arizona Cardinals waived quarterback Desmond Ridder on Tuesday as they trimmed their roster right down to 53 gamers.
Ridder, acquired in an offseason commerce with the Atlanta Falcons, was competing with Clayton Tune for the backup function behind starter Kyler Murray.
Ridder completed the preseason finishing 20 of 35 move makes an attempt for 225 yards in three video games.
The Cardinals acquired Ridder in March, sending broad receiver Rondale Moore to the Falcons. Moore suffered a season-ending knee harm in coaching camp.
