Sheriff's office quickly dispels active shooter rumor at Disney World after fight, 'popping' sound

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A struggle at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park and a “popping” sound prompted a disruption amongst guests and rumors of an lively shooter that had been shortly put to relaxation by the county sheriff’s workplace.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Workplace confirmed that there was no lively shooter on the park on Thursday evening.

The sheriff’s workplace posted the next on social media: “There may be NO lively shooter at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. A struggle occurred, and a “popping” sound was heard that we consider was a balloon. Company started working and that’s how the lively shooter rumor began. There isn’t a lively shooter.”

Nobody was arrested, a spokesperson for the workplace mentioned Friday.

Guests on the park posted accounts that folks had been working and youngsters had been crying amid the confusion.

A Disney World spokesperson issued a press release thanking the sheriff’s workplace for its fast response and mentioned regular operations resumed on the park.
