A lady known as 911 early Wednesday saying her teenage grandson discovered his mother and father deceased inside their residence, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Workplace says.
Based on the sheriff’s workplace, the lady known as 911 at about 7:42 a.m. and mentioned her 16-year-old grandson got here to her residence and mentioned each of his mother and father had been lifeless.
Deputies with the sheriff’s workplace and medical personnel went to the boy’s Midlothian residence and located two individuals deceased inside.
The sheriff’s workplace mentioned each individuals appeared to have been shot and that their deaths had been being investigated as a doable murder-suicide.
“Presently, the sheriff’s workplace doesn’t consider there’s any hazard to the encompassing group,” the sheriff’s workplace mentioned in a press release. “Our ideas and prayers are with the household as they take care of this tragedy.”
The sheriff’s workplace didn’t say when the killings happened or who else might have been inside the house on the time the shootings occurred.
Investigators with the sheriff’s workplace mentioned they had been engaged on figuring out the motive and that data was restricted with the investigation in its early phases.
The identities of the victims shall be publicly launched after their households have been notified of their deaths.
