Former President Donald Trump on Monday posted a video exhibiting photographs of a pretend newspaper article that references a “unified Reich” if he’s reelected in 2024.
The video particulars “what occurs after Donald Trump wins” with a narrator studying hypothetical headlines reminiscent of “Financial system Booms!” and “Border is closed,” styled as World Conflict I-era newspaper clippings. Underneath one headline that reads “What’s subsequent for America?” is a reference to the “creation of a unified Reich.”
One other headline within the video states “15 Million Unlawful Aliens Deported” subsequent to the beginning and finish days of World Conflict I.
The time period “reich” is commonly related Nazi Germany underneath Adolf Hitler, who designated Germany a “Third Reich” from 1933 to 1945.
The video was faraway from Trump’s Fact Social account Tuesday morning.
Karoline Leavitt, a Trump marketing campaign spokesperson, mentioned in an announcement that the video was not created by the marketing campaign and was “reposted by a staffer who clearly didn’t see the phrase, whereas the President was in court docket.”
