The NASCAR Cup Series schedule will continue Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway with the return of the Chase to NBC for the first time in 20 years.
Talladega will begin a stretch of the final three NASCAR Cup Series races this season airing on NBC, which also will have the broadcasts at Martinsville Speedway (Nov. 1) and Homestead-Miami Speedway (Nov. 8). The Chase, which replaced the elimination playoffs this year, is in its second edition after a 2004-13 run that included races on NBC through 2006.
Sunday will mark the second race this season at Talladega. On April 26, Carson Hocevar took the lead on the last lap at the 2.66-mile oval in Talladega, Alabama, to earn the first Cup Series victory of his career.
With three races remaining in the Cup Series season, seven drivers are separated by less than 60 points for the championship.
