Zendaya Wears Archival Bob Mackie Gold Dress With Cutouts to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

On Saturday, Zendaya attended the 2024 Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame induction ceremony for musical icon Cher and her archival look from the 2001 Bob Mackie assortment was an ideal ode to the singer. Cher first wore Mackie in 1967 throughout an look on The Carol Burnett Present and continued to regularly collaborate with the designer. The semi-sheer gold costume Zendaya selected was lined in beads and criss-crossed the star’s physique in a collection of seductive cutouts that confirmed off her toned torso.

Over the piece, Zendaya wore a white satin coat with large lapels and cuffs detailed with gold stripes. She wore the outfit with pointed-toe gold pumps and had her hair again and straight. For make-up, the actress had on a pure make-up palette with a basic 70s really feel.

The occasion was held on the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Different inductees for the evening included Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Known as Quest.

Zendaya collaborated on the look along with her stylist Legislation Roach, who described all the ensemble in his Instagram Tales, sharing an image of the unique runway present debut.

“Fall 2001 Bob Mackie Couture assortment, Overseas Intrigue,” Roach wrote. “White silk satin trench coat, with dramatic collar and cuffs, embroidered in gold and diamond iridescent bugle beads and stones. Nude phantasm halter-gown, solely hand-beaded in gold, diamond and iridescent bugle beads and aurora-borialus [sic] stones.”

In an interview with The Reducing Room Ground, Roach talked about how he and Zendaya supported one another from early on.

“She was at all times the one advocating for me and ensuring I used to be in these rooms that individuals thought I didn’t belong in. Whilst a younger lady, I’m speaking about 16, 17 years previous,” he mentioned. “We’ve sat in boardrooms with shoppers and firms and CEOs and they’d attempt to make me invisible and she or he would say, ‘Legislation has one thing to say,’ or somebody [would] attempt to speak round me and she or he’s like, ‘Oh, properly he simply requested you a query,’ and it was like these small, little issues that at all times when somebody would attempt to take the facility, she would hand it proper again to me.”
